We are in the middle of school holidays and the children are squeezing every last drop out of summer. This morning they got into the pool at 9am and it is now 2.30pm and they are still there. Needless to say that the demands on mom are quite high and it varies from: "Mom, I'm hungry!" to "How about a snack, mom?" Chocolate is always a winner with children so I searched for an easy muffin recipe and found this version on Nigella site. I had all the ingredients and I could have a snack in 30 minutes.....

For the frosting I just used a normal butter cream recipe and added 2 Tbs of caramel(Dulce De Leche)
As you can see, it was love d by all( including dad, the secretary, the driver, the storeman......)

Dulce De leche will put a smile on anyone's face! Glad to see you guys are having summer weather still...I've been to Cape Town...one of my favourite places Nina..and the prettiest.

jenn - My gran used to cook it the old fashioned way, but these day, it is so convenient to just buy.
