We call them Sticky chicken wings......

Photobucket

We are taking about 100 people on a youth camp from Friday to Sunday, so at the moment I am buying, collecting and organizing, but not much cooking is happening here. I do have a quicky for you though. My children(and the salivating husband) loves Sticky Chicken wings and normally this is Friday night Finger food, but this week, I'm afraid it will have to do. No recipes here. I season the chicken wings with whatever spice I have available and place them in an oven dish. Close with foil and cook until they are nice and tender. I then smother them with a mixture of fruit chutney, a dash of Worcester sauce and some cayenne pepper. Place the oven dish back in the oven and roast open until sticky and delicious.

For a dipping sauce, I mix sour cream and blue cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!!!!

I call them delicious! My husband loves wings - I'll have to make him some this weekend. Have fun at the youth camp this weekend.

There is always leftover chutney in the back of the fridge. This sounds like a great way to use it up. The potatoes on the plate look delicious as well.

This sounds like something that would be really fun to eat - with a lot of napkins.

Tasty and easy, that's my kind of
"recipe" :)

I'm salivating too! And they're skewered and they're whole wings. It's been so long since I've seen whole wings. When we usually buy them, they're already broken down into wingettes and drumettes. Somehow, I've forgotten the different delicious experience of having the wing whole. Your sticky wings reminded me -- thanks!

Hey, your "non-recipe" sounds simple enough. Even my little people could muster up this dish.

I agree great Friday food, or "I don't have time for anything else" food! We love them with pickled cucumbers!

Yum! We also make these but my braai purist hubby insists on marinading them overnight. Love the idea of doing them in the oven for a weeknight dinner :) We have them when we're homsick for sundowners - so easy to get in SA but unavailable here :(
