.......but not until we have stopped by at My cooking Hut where we will find the idea/recipe for today's meal! A while back I discovered this blog on Foodgawker and have been following it ever since. Earlier in the week, Leemei posted a recipe for Soba Noodle and Five Spice Pork Salad that she made for lunch! Not only did the stunning photo catch my eye, but also the ingredients and the simplicity of the dish. I decided to go for chicken rather than pork, because that was all I had available.
It turned out to be a splendid meal! I adjusted the recipe here and there to fit in with my Go red for women project, I basically reduced that fat and the sugar and used chicken breast fillts for the recipe. I added 1 red and 1 yellow pepper as well as 2 patty pans and 2 baby marrows, thinly sliced. I also used all her ingredients x 4 as we are 4 people!
Do give this a try, you will not be dissapointed!!!

Hi Nina
I love your blog! the photos are awesome, I want to eat all of them. Would you be open to sharing some of your ingredient sources? Finding good deli stuff in Cape town is always best done by word of mouth.
Maybe I could put an article about it on my site and link to you.
You can contact me there...
yes i am taking your advice and giving this a try!!
Oooh, I love soba noodles! This looks like such a fantastic dish - and what a bonus that it's heart-healthy :)
I'm enjoying your culinary journey. The soba noodles and five spice pork salad is gorgeous, as are all of your photographs. Keep going for the red.

Why is it that I always leave your blog hungry. This looks fantastic Nina.
What a great dish for a great event! Great job, Nina!
Chinese 5-spice is so aromatic...wonderful flavours here.
Looks so tempting! This will definitely go into my To-Do cooking file.
So many times I used to clip recipes, (yeah - clip. Back in the old days before internet.), & they always ended up in the pages of cookbooks - untried. Solved that problem with a magnetic small file holder from an office supply store that I keep on the front of my fridge. You've made the file quite a few times & never disappoint. Thank you for sharing your recipe. ;o}
Looks so nice and fresh.
I've been using soba noodles a lot too lately. (Nothing that's made it to the blog yet though).
