Quick Nutella Pull Apart Loaf

My Quick Nutella Pull Apart Loaf was definitely quick……… quick to disappear off the plate.

The kids LOVED this Quick Nutella Pull Apart Loaf, the way the dough is all stretchy and then the oozing Nutella in the folds. Any child’s dream breakfast, I suppose. My son insisted on having his with a creamy cappuccino as he used the flaky, chocolatey dough to scoop up the cream from the coffee. Crazy delicious, I must say! There are many recipes for a Nutella Pull Apart Loaf on the internet, but they all suggest you make your own dough. Life is just to hectic at the moment and if the cravings for something sweet hits you badly, there is no time to wait for yeast to it its trick.

This Quick Nutella Pull Apart Loaf is perfect for lazy Saturday or Sunday Mornings and will be the perfect showstopper if you invite friends over.

What is it about Nutella that is so appealing? Here is quite an interesting piece to read, can you imagine that a jar of Nutella is sold worldwide every 2.5 sec. I can bribe my children to just about anything with a jar of the good stuff. How about a twist on the classic Hertzoggie, the Nutella Square!

Ok, so back to my Quick Nutella Pull Apart Loaf. It really requires 2 main ingredients – Nutella and brad dough. A little jam or oil to make it look pretty, but only optional.

serves 6 – 8

Ingredients

1 jar Nutella

1 kg store-bought bread dough – ask your local bakery

a little vegetable oil or smooth apricot jam to use as a glaze

Method

Preheat the oven to 180 C. Spray a bread tin with non-stick spray. Divide the dough into 15 even-sized balls. On a floured surface roll out each ball into a oblong shape. Spread lavishly with Nutella and roll up. Place the roll standing up in the bred tin. Repeat with all the other balls and fill the bread tin. Bake for 1 hour or until sounds hollow when tapped. Remove from the tin onto a cooling rack and brush with a little oil or jam to give it a nice glossy appearance. Make the coffee and enjoy.
