When she is not giving a cooking class in Cape Town or her Pinelands Studio Kitchen, every Wednesday she invites guests to cook with her and to share their talent and best recipe ideas. These are then introduced into South Africa via her radio slot on RSG Radio just after 9am every Thursday.
She is known as S.A’s “Kuberkok” (Afrikaans for Cyberchef). Almost every single visitor that has left her kitchen has replied to the visit with a letter of heartfelt appreciation for a fantastic get together at her Pinelands, Cape Town kitchen.
Custom Cooking classes in Cape Town are easier to manage but depending on the requirement can be replicated anywhere in South Africa but will need to be discussed
General Survival Cooking Course
As cooking classes in Cape Town go, This course is our most popular course, it teaches a general basic knowledge of good cooking.
Valuable hints, tips and basic recipes are taught in 4 – 3 hour sessions over the period of 1 month.
Lessons start at 9 every Saturday morning and finishes at 12.
All ingredients are supplied and students take home what they’ve cooked. If you are serious about raising the bar of your own cooking, this course should be the first one for you!
Cost: R500 per person (1 session only)
Domestic Beginner Course.
This course (only available as a cooking course in Cape Town)teaches basic skills such as prepping food, reading recipes, handling ingredients, working with guests and even telephone skills. The course is designed to empower the domestic worker and create pride and job satisfaction. The course will be presented in English and Xhosa! Ingredients are supplied and each student can take home what they have cooked. Lessons and recipes are printed in a booklet which students can take home and use as a reference guide!
Dates: Once we have filled a class with 8 students, the course of 4 x 3-hour classes will commence. Lessons are every Tuesday morning from 9 – 12.
Cost: R 2500.00 per course ( payable in advance)
Domestic Advanced Cooking Course
Once the students have completed the Domestic Beginner Course, they can move on to this advanced course. Equipped with the basic skills of cooking, students in this course will be taught menu planning, drawing up shopping lists, food prepping and preserving and even designing menus for basic entertaining
Dates: Once we have filled a class with 8 students, the course of 4 – 3 hour classes will commence. Lessons are every Friday morning from 9 – 12.
Cost: R 2700.00 per course ( payable in advance)
In this popular course, students will learn to make 3 or 4 desserts each, delicious desserts that will most definitely impress their guests. It is a practical hands-on course and students are taken through the various stages of prepping and cooking these beautiful desserts. The duration of the class is 3 hours and at the end of the class students will sit down and enjoy the fruits of their labor!

Curry in a Hurry
Many cuisines in the world have their own unique curry recipes, Indian, Moroccan, Malay and Thai. In this spiced-up course, students will learn 4 new curry recipes. They will learn about spices, masalas, mixing spices and various cooking techniques and how the various cuisines differ in their approach to making a curry! Ingredients are supplied and each student can take home what they have cooked. Lessons and recipes are printed in a booklet which students can take home and use as a reference!
Time: 6 – 9 pm
Cost: R500 per person
Entertaining is a huge issue for many people and they end up buying the most expensive, yet tasteless pre-made snacks. This course is designed around entertaining. Students will learn easy, affordable and delicious recipes for making their own snacks to make entertaining a breeze and a little less stressful. Ingredients are supplied and each student can take home what they have cooked. Lessons and recipes are printed in a booklet which students can take home and use as a reference!
Time: 9 – 12 am
Cost: R650 per person
