On my birthday this year, I was treated to a five course tasting menu at the much acclaimed La Colombe Restaurant on the Constantia Uitsig Estate. My husband made me swear on the Bible, the Koran and all other things holy, that I will NOT take my camera or cellphone near the place.

Share Beets or beetroot as we refer to it here in South Africa makes the most beautiful hummus, The color is this awesome, luscious pink and when I saw it in the blender the first time, I knew I had to go and find a piece of clothing in that color, it was just that gorgeous to me. But before I get too carried away, let's get back to beets and my pink hummus....

Chutney or relish? I am confused!

Chutney or relish....what is the difference? Interesting question and I certainly have never even given it some thought.....that was until I wanted to write this post. I did a bit of research and this is the conclusion I came to.....
