Semifredo Cheesecakes for Valentine's Day

If the path to a man's heart goes through his stomach then I think desserts are to be found on this path often, at least to my husband's heart. With Valentine's Day 2 sleeps away, I think it is only apt that I share this totally decadent, yet ridiculously easy dessert recipe with you. Seriously, there is nothing complicated about this recipe......a few store bought ingredients and voila, you have a sure way to win your loved one's heart.....

1, 2, 3, 4 Ingredients...Raspberry Cheesecake!

Raspberry Cheesecake made with only 1..2..3..4 ingredients. No way! Well, that was just about my first reaction too when I  heard about  this recipe. Proper cheesecakes are all about whipping cream or egg whites and folding it into something or else the list of ingredients is as  long as my arm. By now you should know.....

Off to RSG to make a cheesecake with Chef Caro!

When I start prepping for my radio show on RSG every Thursday morning, I literally have to pinch myself just to remember how privileged I feel to work with all the passionate foodies South Africa has to offer. Really, the golden thread that so delicately weaves all these people together is a unsaturated passion for food and the enjoyment thereof.

Cheesecake Recipe for Happy Holidays!

It seems as if everyone is on holiday already the beaches and shops here in Cape Town are overflown with visitors and locals looking for a little fun time after the hard labor of 2010. We still have a few things to round up before we can go on leave so as promised a quick dessert for you to try.

Cheese cake does not come easier than this..

Making cheesecake has always intimidated me so it was only later in my life that I mustered up the courage to bake one. I went through various cookbooks and the length of the recipes would always put me off. Until one day, a Jewish friend of mine came to my rescue and gave me this easy throw-together version. She swore by it and told me this is "the original Jewish cheesecake recipe". I was not going to pick an argument with someone that has just given me the answer to my search so I decided to give it a try.
