This Baguette Parma Labneh Sandwich is proof that the simple things done well, is just so damn good.
My Baguette Parma Labneh Sandwich was everything I want in a sandwich…….. crusty bread, creamy spread, salty meat and then of course crispy lettuce. That is a big mouthful isn’t it? Well, whoever said that girls can’t have big sandwiches?
Anybody who knows my, will tell you I have a thing for a good sandwich. Each of my sandwiches have their own specific time slot which makes them just perfect at that specific time and place.
Here are my love sandwiches…..
Apricot Jam and butter with black coffee after a braai.
Peanut Butter and Syrup when I’m feeling blue.
Toasted Tomato and Cheese on a Sunday night.
Soggy tomato and cheese when we’re traveling.
Pulled Pork Sandwiches for crowds
Ice-Cream Sandwiches for dessert.
What is your favorite Sandwich and for what occasion?
Baguette Parma Labneh Sandwich – the girl version
Makes 4 big sandwiches
Ingredients
1 extra long baguette
2 T butter
1 jar Bedouin Labneh Cream Cheese – you can choose any of the flavors – I used the original and added
2 T creamed horseradish
100 g parma ham
fresh lettuce and edible flowers
Method
Cut the baguette open along the one side. Spread the baguette with butter. Now spread entire jar of Bedouin Labneh Cream over the butter, followed by the horseradish. Roll the ham in little cigars and place them next to each other on the loaf of bread(see photo). Top with fresh lettuce and edible flowers and serve.
