The Air Fryer Salmon Rice bowl is everything a healthy meal should be. It is packed with flavour, has amazing textures and colours and the best part is….. it will take you less than 20 minutes to prepare it.
This Air Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl was a hit in my house, bear in mind my husband is a very picky eater. He devoured the entire bowl, so did missy.
This was the first meal I made in my brand new Mi Smart Air Fryer from Mobile In Africa’s e-commerce store.
In the Mi Smart Air Fryer is a smart product that connects over Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi and is supported by the Mi Home App. It also works with Google Assistant and Alexa. Yes, I can indeed cook from the comforts of my own lounge or even bed.
Cook the salmon for the Air Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl?
The air fryer is big enough for 3 pieces of salmon, but this recipe serves 2. Simply season the salmon with salt and pepper or any other spice you prefer and place in the air fryer , skin down. Drizle some olive oil on the top. Choose the FISH option on your air and cook the fish for 10 minutes. If you eat the fish as a main portion, 8 minutes will do.
What spices can be used with salmon?
Salmon is quite a bold flavoured fish and it can take a good kick in terms of spices. Here are a few suggestion:
Cajun Spice
Blackened Cajun Salmon is one of our favourite dishes and works on the grill, in a pan or in the oven. Here is a recipe for a good homemade Cajun Spice.
BBQ spice
Fro me a BBQ spice must have salt, pepper, dry coriander and cumin. All these spices work on salmon and nothing beats a good piece of BBQ salmon.
Thai Spice
I love flavours like lemongrass, ginger, chilli and kaffir lime leaves and are delicious with salmon. Do try this Salmon in Coconut Lime Broth.
